About
Panamanian Tobacco needed a symbol to launch its visual identity, one that could carry the company for years without a redesign and stand beside any artwork its products would later bring. The answer is a monogram that joins P, A and T into a single, nearly symmetrical shape, found through more than a month of studies in pencil, ink and brush and then rebuilt on a geometric grid. Developed into versions for every scale and a set of corporate lockups, it works on a cigar band, in embroidery, on stationery and on a storefront.
